So You Think You Can Dance

May 25, 2006

And it’s back.

People who made my jaw drop:

Musa Cooper, back from last year and even better than before. It seems as though he took their comments to heart and seriously studied up on learning choreography. His work is shit-hot.

Michael Kim, popper. Holy shit. Excuse all the profanity. He was amazing. When he was hitting it, I kept thinking my vision was blurring.

Travis Wall was amazing too. But I can’t be bothered to use such eloquent phrasing as “shit-hot” and “holy shit” on someone who doesn’t bboy or pop. Heh.

I’d have posted the other two I mentioned here, but I can’t seem to find their vids. I found Travis’ video, but not Musa’s.

For old times’ sake, here are my two favorites from last year:

Jamile

Ryan

I love this show. I dont know how they’re going to find people to top Nick and all of the top 5 from last year because they were really good.

Michael Kim was AMAZING last night, I had to rewind it because I couldnt believe what I was seeing. The body roll he did was unbelievable. I’ve always wanted to be able to do that but how do you learn something like that?

Oh I forgot about Travis, he was really good but just from looking at him I wouldve never imagined he could dance like that. oh, and his pause for the smoldering look into the camera was super cheesy.

Oh yeah, when he paused to cheese it up to the camera, my overall buy-in into the performance plummeted.

I linked a better vesion of the video for Michael Kim a.k.a. Onion. I have no idea why that’s his alias, but I’ve been seeing it all over the place now. Heh.

Musa Cooper, adult entertainment dancer who teaches hip hip workout and has been on Sex and the City?

Weird. Still can’t find any videos with him. Oh well.
