30 days…
And some hours from now, I will be standing in front of Seppo and making the promise to love him and stand by him for the rest of our days. It’s a promise we’ve already made each other, but it means a lot to declare it in front of our beloved family and friends.
I can’t wait.
Yippee!
Good luck finding a make-up artist.
I’d sure like this to come out more eloquently than it will, but here goes:
I couldn’t be happier for you two. While on the one hand the wedding feels like a formality, in reality it is a tremendously imporant thing to formalize such an important, life shaping decision. I am honored to be included in the witnessing of it.
Thanks for all the good wishes!
Re: internet friends, it’s funny because Seppo and I seriously sat down and thought long and hard about inviting some people from TGF, but in the end, the numbers didn’t work out and we (ok, maybe just me? :D) also didn’t want to weird out the people we invited, like we had suddenly crossed over into creepy stalker terriory.
Whoa, I just realized I have never googled any of you. How odd. *tries to refrain*
I thought this was going to be about Morgan Spurlock’s show.
Seriously, though, SD – the sentiment means a hell of a lot. Strange days, when internet friendships mean so much. I wonder what the future holds.
seppo
The future holds personal rocket ships and robot housekeepers.
Steph and I have joked that we’re hurt for not being invited to your wedding. You can make it up to us though by filling up Flickr with teh pics!
I’m with SD, in that it’s more exciting than many RL weddings I’ve had to go to. Weird.
True story – A bunch of my friends IRL used to post on IGN back when it was still free. When one of those friends was about to get married a couple years ago, we sort of half-joked about inviting one of our friends from the board. Things progressed from there and we ended up all chipping in to fly our message board friend in from Amsterdam so he could attend the wedding.
The MB friend, Fred, was here for a week and we had a blast. The buddy who’s wedding it was still claims that it’s the best week of his life, and Fred still swears that he wants to move to Michigan one day.
Seriously, we would have invited you guys if we could figure out how to make it work with the small size wedding we are having.
I would have never in a million years expected an invitation to the wedding. Having said that, if one had arrived, my wife and I would have been there for sure. ROAD TRIP!!
Not only getting to meet you and see you guys get married, but to see all the other TGFers in the area. (I’m looking at your here, Holly)
:hides:
😀
My grandmother just moved to Tuscon, so we may yet meet, actually.
I love blogger and it’s comment systems ability to allow me to have a typo in every freakin’ comment I post.
For god measure.
If you had told me five years ago that I would ever be excited about two people getting married who I had never meet but over the internet, I would have laughed and you were a nerd.
Call me a nerd if you want, because I am very excited for the two of you and can’t wait for pictures and stories. Of course, I am a hopeless romantic so that does factor in to this. But not completely. I have a couple of real life acquantances/friends that are getting married and three months. Rachel and are a actually invited to the small wedding…but I am looking forward to your wedding twice as much!
Go you two!
