Anticipation

August 8, 2007

Warning: lame blog entry coming.

I’m really excited about Rock Band for the XBox360 and Gilmore Girls – The Complete Series Collection coming out. Both are coming out in November. Arg, it’s only August!

I figure Rock Band can be our Christmas gift to ourselves. For the dvd collection, I am thinking that it’ll be the reward for another successful NaNoWriMo. Because these things come out in November, I will most likely not be able to enjoy them until December, since every minute I am at home and awake will be spent on writing. Hmm. I’ll have to figure out a good schedule to keep things sane. It’s also possible that I might push off NaNoWriMo this year for another month entirely. We’ll see how it goes. I really want to spend a lot more time this round on plotting and setting, and polishing the core story so that it stands up well and has a good pace.

If there’s any good extras in the complete series collection, I’m going to have to come visit to watch them, because I can’t justify buying the collection when I already have copies of every episode, either on DVD, VHS or DVR.

I only just finished watching season 1, so it’s all new to me.

Watching it makes me want to tell random stories about high school, like about the one guy I used to StalkerStare ™ at during junior year English class, where I was convinced that if I stared him down hard enough, he’d come over and say hi.

I’m so sorry, Todd! 😀

Speaking of telling stories, the recappers at http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com tell some hysterical stories about their own younger years in the GG recaps. They have every episode recapped. I’m sure there is nothing new there in terms of the plotlines of the episodes, but the recappers stories are really awesome and worth reading.

Boggles my mind how the GG can talk so much without breathing. I mean, they must inhale while talking or something. They just go on and on and on without pauses.

Yeah, I can’t believe they can memorize all that dialog. Craziness.
